The committee was initially established to address noise issues associated with Morristown Municipal Airport and to improve community relations with the airport’s surrounding communities. Today, the committee continues to focus on noise issues while also working to improve airport functionality and illustrating the economic benefits to Morris County that are generated by Morristown Municipal Airport as well as Lincoln Park Airport.
The Flood Mitigation Committee (FMC), comprised of five members shall review, prioritize and make funding recommendations to the Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders. Meetings shall be held monthly, on an as-needed basis. A quorum shall consist of three FMC members.
The Morris County Open Space Committee reviews, prioritizes and makes recommendations to the Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders on the funding of projects which fall into the municipal/qualified charitable conservancy and discretionary share categories.
